began at Mahogany Ridge in 2003. Of our many goals, first and foremost in our minds was to offer our guests unforgettable
retreat-like accommodations in keeping with our desire to create an atmosphere of rustic elegance in one of the most private,
scenic and tranquil settings in Northern California and in doing so, pay close attention to detail and personal touches in
the delivery of our service. Beginning in the summer
of 2005, we continued to maintain that goal and took it one step farther as Mahogany Ridge kicked off "Weddings at The
Ridge" and soon established a reputation for providing locations for simple, yet tastefully designed and coordinated
outdoor weddings for many brides and grooms in and around Modoc County and beyond.
At Mahogany Ridge, our services
are unique to that of many other guest and destination ranches. We do much of the coordination and carrying out of the
tasks involved in putting together your special and unique wedding while taking the cues from you--no two weddings held at
Mahogany Ridge have ever been the same! We pay close attention to your stated needs and desires including the kind of
atmosphere you want to create, the number of guests you need to accommodate and the décor you desire. Additionally,
when we assist you by carrying out much of the planning and execution details on our end, we are able to coordinate your wedding
activities around other events taking place at Mahogany at Ridge.
Weddings can cost thousands of dollars and that
is great if you have a budget of thousands; we will bring that to life for you. What we have discovered over and over
is an increasing demand by and among couples for simple, tasteful weddings that cost a lot less but couples say they really
don't know exactly where and how to begin. This is one area of need among guests who come to us which we try to
fill and make one of our specialties.
Our staff also create decor for weddings and receptions taking

At Mahogany Ridge your event will take place in the peaceful, tranquil beauty of evergreen covered mountains mixed with the

The
following descriptions are just a few sites on the premises ideal for ceremonies and receptions:  A fan shaped redwood deck unfolds below a 100 year old
apple tree in the back garden of the Homestead House. Up to 125 guests can be escorted to garden chairs on the lawn
offering them a panoramic view of the South Warner Mountains and the lush green grasslands of Jess Valley as they await the
start of your wedding ceremony. A small arched foot bridge is built over a narrow stream to span two sides of lawn.
Immediately beyond the yard is a backdrop of evergreen covered mountains. Another redwood deck and pergola provides
shade and a location from which catering can occur.
 Elsie's Garden is a spacious location with panoramic views of the entire expanse of
Jess Valley and the South Warner Mountain Range. The garden is adorned with an illuminated black iron pergola and
a sphere shaped fountain There are many decorating possibilities for this space and can easily
accommodate 150 guests.
The adjoining West Lawn allows the celebration to expand and guests
to stroll and socialize. For music and dancing the large wooden gazebo is a prime location for your band or D.J. The gazebo is also situated beside the bank of a trickling stream.
